The "Centre for Parallel Computing" (ZPR) has been joined with the "Regional Computing Centre of the University of Cologne" (RRZK). They now form a central institution of the University of Cologne, "Centre of Applied Computer Science" (ZAIK). The ZAIK

provides central computational services for whole university and incorporates institutions doing research and teaching in applied computer science.
